About Lymm Nursery
Kids Planet Lymm is based in a former Health Clinic only two minutes walk from Lymm village centre and ideally located for trips to the library, to the park or on any walks close by to the nursery.

Babies Cot Room Babies Cuddle Corner Babies Black & White area
Children are always our primary focus and the nursery has been developed to provide each of our different age groups with separate areas that have stimulating colours running throughout, creating areas for children to explore and discover through play.
Within Kids Planet our fully qualified and carefully selected staff are friendly , approachable, caring and actively work to preserve the magic of childhood. By developing young minds through play, we help give children the very best start.
Kids Planet provide all you expect from an Ofsted approved nursery, and so much more. Every child is treated as an invidivual and as a result the care we offer is tailored to suit that child's needs. We work in partnership with Parents and Carers to learn as much as possible about how to mirror the care your child receives at home and incorporate this into nursery providing continuity from home to nursery.
We ensure every child is given the best opportunities during their early years care with us. Each room is divided by age groups where we see children as individuals and recognise when they are ready to make the next transition. our nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the children enjoy a self generated program, enhanced by the staff as they work to meet their own individual development goals.
The Nursery is well resourced and developed ensuring that all the areas of development relating to the EYFS are incorporated throughout.

Intertactive Whiteboard Pre-school Room Pre-School Room
We have a designated Pre-school unit with a fully interactive whiteboard and ICT area. We prepare children to make the transition into school. Our qualified Early Years Teacher and the pre-school team teach phonics every day, we have P.E class and self serve at meal times.
We have a sensory room which is accessible to all the children within our nursery and provides them with a different environment to relax and explore with textures and lights.
Our outdoor area has been developed so we are able to provide the opportunity for outdoor play in all weather in line with guidance from the EYFS. Our outdoor area has a rubber soft surface, grass and digging areas and we have a multitude of resources to enable children to gain as much fresh air as possible.
All our nursery meals are freshly prepared by our qualified Nursery Chef on the premesis. The nursery chef caters for children's individual needs while focussing on the nutritional requirements of all children at their appropriate ages. We operate a 6 weekly menu and invite input from parents into our menu.
Safeguarding the children in our nursery is an utmost priority and we offer state of the art security systems. Access to the nursery is through a state of the art finger print entry system; all our internal doors are key fob operated, each room has CCTV both indoors and outdoors. Intercom system as standard, ensuring your child's safety is paramount at all times and that if you want you can speakw ith a member of the team at any time.
We hope you have enjoyed learning more about our nursery and look forward to meeting you and your family soon.

Emma Scammell:
"My daughter enrolled at Kids Planet in September 2009, aged nine months. She had previously been cared for by a childminder who had failed to bond with her as she found my daughter to be too demanding. So it was with great trepidation that I left my little girl in the care of Kids Planet. I needn't have worried, from day one she settled well and the end of day handovers confirmed to me that my daughter was the bright happy little girl that she was at home.
"We joined Kids Planet when it had just opened but it wasn't the state of the art sensory room, brand new stimulating toys or the fabulous outside space that was important, instead it was the fact that my daughter was loved that was the overriding factor that helped assuage the guilt that all working parents suffer from. When I found out I was expecting again, one of the first things I did was get a place reserved for the new baby. I help run the family business and knew I would be needed back at work after 6 months maternity leave. Once my son was born he accompanied me when I dropped his sister off and so when it was his turn to start his familiarisation sessions he instantly fitted in and has become a lovely, chilled out, well rounded little man. That has to be in some part down to the care and stimulation he receives every day at nursery. It also great that my kids get to see and play with one another throughout the course of the day despite being in separate age groups The flexibility that the extended opening hours offer is fantastic, I know if I need to be at work early or get stuck in traffic on the way home that it won’t be a problem, which is one less thing to worry about. I think there can be a perception that children in nurseries are missing out, but I strongly believe that the opportunity to learn through play and the relationships my kids have developed with their peers has helped them to become more confident and outgoing than if I had been at home full time. As it is I think we have attained the perfect work life balance, with three days of brilliant nursery care alongside plenty of family time on our days off". "There are many things about Kids Planet Lymm which make it exemplary, but they fall under two key areas: the staff and the activities. In each of the three rooms that Sam, our son, has been in, the staff have open, honest and friendly which is critical to instilling the trust that we need to be able to leave our most valuable asset with them. We have also never felt that we could not ask, challenge or engage with the Nursery staff, and the team are clearly willing to do more than it takes to satisfy not just my wife and I, but also (and more importantly) our son. In fact, probably the most stringent test passed is that in each of the rooms, Sam has clearly bonded with many, if not all of the team, not just his key worker. The team take the time to communicate, both in person at the end of each day, and through emailed newsletters. They are also open to challenge and suggestion, enabling us, the parents, to receive a better service more suited to our needs. There are always staff that stick out in my mind as particularly helpful or kind, There is also a broad range of activities that stimulate our son, from the outside racing track to the inside climbing frame, from singalong to French lessons. He comes home and excitedly tells us about the day he’s had. The nursery has also offered other “added value activities” for children and adults such as hair cuts and odd-job contacts: things you wouldn’t ordinarily associate with a nursery, but which make the experience more user friendly. The Nursery is also obviously willing to get involved with the community – from sending out emails relating to local energy efficiency drives to supporting local charities through fund raising days. But, all that said, there is a selection of Nurseries in the village and if we did not firmly believe that Kids Planet Lymm was the best one, we would not send our son there".

"We’re really pleased that we picked Kids Planet for Sophia, she started in Babies in December 2009 and we have seen her benefit so much from her time there. The daily activities such as dipping hands in baked beans in Babies to learning some French or planting seeds in Pre-school have been fun and helped her learn and develop. In addition there have been so many activities to capture their imagination as World Cup 2010 parties where the children got to taste food from around the world, a tea party to celebrate the Royal Wedding, teddy bears picnics the list is endless. All of the staff know and greet Sophia by name which is lovely and it makes us feel like nursery is an extension of our family. Her Key Workers have always developed really close bonds with her and she has been fond of them, particularly Hayley in Toddlers. In short all of the staff have been fantastic. I think the biggest accolade we can give is that we have chosen Kids Planet for our son too, who will start in September and we know that he will get just as much out of his time there as his sister".
