About Prestwich Nursery

Kids Planet Prestwich is a brand new purpose built nursery on Nursery Road less than half a mile from Prestwich village centre. The nursery has large open plan rooms with direct access to secure outdoor play areas, one which is dedicated to our under 3 year olds and a separate roof terrace playground for our Pre-School children.

We also have a large nursery car park for families to park in whilst dropping their child off at nursery and a conveniently placed buggy store for leaving prams or car seats.

Children are always our primary focus and the nursery has been developed to provide each of our different age groups with separate areas that have stimulating colours running throughout, creating areas for children to explore and discover through play.

Within Kids Planet our fully qualified and carefully selected staff are friendly, approachable, caring and actively work to preserve the magic of childhood. By developing young minds through play, we help give children the very best start. Kids Planet provide all you expect from an Ofsted approved nursery, and so much more.

Every child is treated as an individual and as a result the care we offer is tailored to suit that child’s needs. We work in partnership with parents and carers to learn as much as possible about how to mirror the care your child receives at home and incorporate this into nursery providing continuity from home to nursery. We ensure every child is given the best opportunities during their early years care with us.

Each room is divided by age groups where we see children as individuals and recognise when they are ready to make the next transition. Our nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the children enjoy a self generated program, enhanced by the staff as they work to meet their own individual developmental goals. The nursery is well resourced and developed ensuring that all the areas of development relating to the EYFS are incorporated throughout.

We have a sensory room which is accessible to all the children within our nursery and provides them with a different environment to relax and explore with different textures and lights. Our outdoor play areas have been developed so that we are able to provide the opportunity for outdoor play in all weather in line with the EYFS guidance on continuous provision both indoor and outdoor. We have two play areas one for the under 3 year olds and one specifically for Pre-School. Our outdoor areas are surfaced with rubber soft surfaces, grass and bark digging areas and we have a multitude of resources to enable children to gain as much fresh air as possible.

All our meals are freshly prepared by our qualified Nursery Chef on the premises who caters for individual needs while focussing on the nutritional requirements of all children at their appropriate ages. We operate a 6 weekly menu and invite and welcome input from parents in our nurseries.

Safeguarding the children in our nursery is an utmost priority and we offer state of the art security systems. Access into the nursery is through a state of the art finger print entry system; all our internal doors are key fob operated, each room has CCTV both indoors and outdoors. Intercom system as standard, ensuring that your children’s safety is paramount at all times and that if you want to you can speak to a member of staff in your child’s room at any time.
