About Widnes Nursery

Kids Planet Widnes, a purpose built day nursery, is based in the Kingsway Learning Centre, a converted Victorian building five minutes walk from Widnes town centre and near to Runcorn. Our children can benefi t from the Centre’s own complimentary facilities including the specially equipped sensory room while we support the services provided within the Children’s Centre. Children are always our primary focus and the nursery has been developed to provide each of our different age groups with separate areas that have stimulating colours running throughout, creating areas for children to explore and discover through play.

Within Kids Planet our fully qualified and carefully selected staff are friendly, approachable, caring and actively work to preserve he magic of childhood. By developing young minds through play, we help give children the very best start. Kids Planet provide all you expect from an Ofsted approved nursery, and so much more.

EYFS

Every child is treated as an individual and as a result the care we offer is tailored to suit that child’s needs. The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); each room is divided by age groups, is well resourced and designed to ensure that all the six areas of development relating to the EYFS are incorporated throughout.

Outdoor Play

Our outdoor play areas have rubber soft surfaces and are developed so that we can provide the opportunity for outdoor play in all weathers in line with the EYFS guidance. Each age group has access to their own age appropriate play area so that all children have access to as much fresh air as possible.

Mealtimes

All our meals are freshly prepared by our qualified Nursery Chef on the premises who caters for individual needs, while focussing on the nutritional requirements of all children at their appropriate ages. We operate a 6 weekly menu and invite and welcome input from parents in our nurseries.

Within the pre-school room we encourage the children to self serve encouraging independence and freedom of choice. This also enables the children to be a little more self sufficent and prepares them for starting school.

Safe and secure

Safeguarding the children in our nursery is one of our utmost priorities and we offer state of the art security systems. Complete with CCTV in every room, intercom systems are standard in all rooms ensuring that your children’s safety is paramount at all times. We also use key fob entry into every room as added security to ensure the team is able to see who is entering the room at all times.
