Data protection statement

Kids Planet Day Nurseries Ltd is a data controller and we process personal data in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018. We will process the data you provide on this form on the lawful basis of our legal obligations to ensure the safe and suitable recruitment of Kids Planet employees, as well as our obligations under the Equality Act 2010.

Your data will be accessed by and accessible to Kids Planet colleagues only as necessary for processing your application. We will compare the information you provide with other information we may have on file and with information provided by referees and external agencies such as the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Your data will be retained securely for no longer than one year if you are unsuccessful. If you are successful, we will retain your information securely, throughout your employment with Kids Planet and for 7 years after you leave our employment. These retention periods do not affect your statutory right to request erasure of your data at any time. Paper copies are shredded using a confidential waste service and electronic copies are deleted from our systems.

In processing your application, data will be shared with third parties only if required by law or a law enforcement agency. Your data will not be sold.

Your anonymised data may be used for the purpose of data analysis, monitoring and compliance.
