Kids Planet Salford Quays has raised £415 at their Christmas Fair for the children’s cancer research charity, Kidscan.
The Salford-based charity funds and manages research into new and improved treatments for children with cancer.
Speaking about the event, Kids Planet Day Nursery Manager, Alisha McDowell said: “We are delighted to have been able to support the wonderful work that Kidscan do, researching childhood cancer treatments to ensure that every child can not only survive but thrive. Our Christmas Fair was attended by small local traders as well as lots of our children and families. We wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without the support of our local community and the help of our outstanding staff team”.
Jason Simat, Marketing Manager for Kidscan said: “Once again, thank you to the team for all your effort on the day, we really appreciate it! I first walked into the event and was taken back by all the Christmas decoration spread across the nursery. The team on the day went out of their way with activities and created an amazing atmosphere for all. It felt like Christmas came early! We appreciate all the effort the team at Salford Quay’s Kids Planet have put into this event. The money raised will go towards funding vital research”.
