Kids Planet Apley opened in 2017 in the grounds of the Princess Royal Hospital, offering a safe, enclosed outdoor play space for little ones to enjoy.

Our passionate team is dedicated to creating a nurturing atmosphere that supports healthy social interaction and strong emotional and physical development in the early years.To support every child’s unique needs, we have a calming sensory room featuring sensory mats, interactive toys, and a bubble lamp to encourage self-regulation.

Our newly revamped outdoor area links to our Udeskole accreditation, with nature-based activities around the fire pit, risky play, and exploration in nearby Apley Woods.We also run regular themed stay-and-play sessions for parents, carers, and grandparents, building strong home-nursery partnerships.

Plus, our welcoming entrance area offers a grab-and-go coffee and tea station, a parent and children’s lending library, a food bank, a clothing swap shop, and an oral hygiene stand with free toothbrushes and toothpaste to support family wellbeing.

We maintain close links with local schools to ensure smooth and supported transitions when children move on to their next stage.

My name is Holly, and I am the Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Apley.

I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies and have gained seven years of experience working across a range of roles within early years education, progressing from Early Years Practitioner to Room Leader, Deputy Manager, and now Nursery Manager.

I am passionate about creating an enriching environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to develop and thrive. With extensive experience in preschool settings, I am dedicated to helping children prepare for their transition to school and ensuring they leave nursery as confident, capable little individuals.

Wellbeing is at the heart of everything I do, and I am committed to supporting everyone within our nursery community, children, parents, and staff alike. My aim is to make Kids Planet Apley a warm, nurturing, and homely environment where every child feels safe, valued, and loved.

My commitment to you and your family is to always maintain an open door policy, ensuring I am available to support with any questions, concerns, or even just for a chat. I am dedicated to supporting and empowering our staff in their roles so they can provide the very best care and create a calm, loving environment for every child. Above all, I will always ensure that all children in our care are happy, healthy, and safe.
