Nursery in Bradmore Road

Kids Planet Bradmore Road is an exclusive nursery for staff and students at the University of Oxford, one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Children are always our primary focus, and the nursery has been developed to provide each of our different age groups with separate areas for children to explore and discover through the magic of play.

Claire Brasier is Nursery Manager at Bradmore Road, she holds a Level 3 in Children’s Care, learning and Development. Claire is currently at Oxford Brookes university studying her Foundation Degree in Early Years and hoping to go on to her BA Hons in early childhood studies. Claire has worked in childcare since 2002 and her passion to drive the children to succeed is her ultimate aim and watching them start as babies and leave for school as individuals provides her with a great sense of pride and achievement.

At Kids Planet, we believe in a healthy approach to bodies and appetites, with sociable mealtimes, balanced nutrition and fresh, varied menus. Our menus are healthy and well-balanced. Each nursery setting has an on-site, qualified chef with an in-depth understanding of nutrition, food hygiene, and menu planning.

My little boy joined Bradmore Road at the age of 11 months, in the baby room 2 months ago. The team have been really helpful with his settling, working to help him feel comfortable and secure with his key worker and the remainder of the team. We've seen so much positive progress, but even when he was struggling to settle I felt confident leaving him with the team as they were so obviously supporting him with cuddles and songs and direct care whenever he needed. I would go to pick him up and find him on the lap of one of the team being well looked after. More recently he's actually going into nursery without upset and seems to be really enjoying his time there. The nursery is clean and welcoming - I've really enjoyed seeing the different exploratory play stations the team set up, with seasonal themes. The menus are great, broad, covering the major food groups in each meal (carb, protein, veg/fruit), and the team have been encouraging weaning and self feeding.
