About Chris Abell
Kids Planet Chris Abell welcomes children from three months through to preschool in a purpose-built nursery within the University of Cambridge grounds. Large, open-plan rooms give children space to play and activities are planned to suit each stage of development. Our qualified and welcoming team helps them explore their interests and learn through doing.
Secure access and CCTV in every room form part of our nursery’s safety arrangements. Public transport links make us convenient to reach, while on-site parking and electric vehicle charging points support families arriving by car helping families fit nursery into journeys between home and work.

Our sensory room is a peaceful, purpose-built space designed to support sensory development and emotional wellbeing, especially for babies and children with additional needs. Featuring gentle lighting, soft textures, and calming sounds, it offers a safe and soothing environment for exploration and regulation. The space encourages focus, relaxation, and early communication through multi-sensory play, and is used for quiet time, individual support, or simply a change of pace, making it an important part of our inclusive approach.
