About Hanford

At Kids Planet Hanford, children can grow their own ingredients in our garden and use them in baking, making the connection between food and where it comes from. Our ECO-accredited nursery welcomes babies through to preschoolers, connecting children with nature and the world around them, outdoor yoga, weekly sports sessions and Boogie Mites music add to their nursery experience

Our team brings more than 50 years of combined early years experience to your child’s care and learning. We welcome families into nursery through stay-and-play sessions, so you can see how your child spends their day. Our lending library also offers books to share at home, keeping a connection between nursery experiences and family time.

    Hayley Gilford

    Manager

I have worked in Hanford since 2005 working in various roles and completing several qualifications. "I am passionate about children's mental health and well-being, continuing Hanford's involvement in available accreditations, our commitment to the Eco initiative, and community involvement. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my huge family, where there is never a dull moment, traveling with my husband and taking long walks with our dog Steve!"

Fireside Fun and Outdoor Adventures

Where Learning Comes to Life Outdoors

Our unique nature-based learning includes fireside experiences that spark curiosity and build confidence. Children love gathering around our outdoor fireplace, where they safely learn about cooking, help prepare treats like pancakes and toast marshmallows, and take part in hands-on activities that develop practical skills and a sense of wonder. It’s all part of our commitment to nurturing independence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the outdoors.
