Kids Planet Hanford nursery prides itself on providing the highest quality of childcare for babies through to preschool. With more than 50 years of experience between the highly qualified team, the Hanford nursery is the ideal setting for little ones to play, learn, and explore, in a welcoming environment with natural resources.

Our Nursery Manager Emma has worked in Early Years for the last 12 years and has a particular interest and passion in therapeutic approaches to care and education as well as children’s mental health and well-being. She holds a Level 3 certificate in Early Years, SENCo qualifications, ENCo trained, DSL and paediatric first aid trained and first aid at work. She comes with a wealth of experience across a variety of roles starting as a Level 2 apprentice then progressing onto different roles such as quality and improvement, training, SENCo and management.

At Kids Planet, we have put together our very own Forest School inspired outdoor learning approach called ‘Udeskole’ that many of our nurseries are training towards and Kids Planet Hanford has already completed!

Udeskole is a Scandinavian concept that translates to “outdoor school” and is an educational approach to outdoor learning. Udeskole focuses on nature-based learning experiences and encourages children to spend more time outdoors studying local wildlife and plants, directly engaging with nature and their environment and helping them to develop their sense of self.
