Hi! My name is Stephen and I'm the Acting Manager at Kids Planet Heaton Mersey. I started working in Early Years back in 2014 as an apprentice and have held a variety of positions in different nurseries since then.
I love Early Years. The sparkle in a Preschooler's eye when they learn a new skill, the pure joy of a baby learning to walk, that moment when 2 year olds realise they can cause more mischief in a group than they can on their own... There's no job like it. Every day is different, and every day is a pleasure.
I firmly believe that the best thing we can do for our children is to work together - nursery and family all as one. Nursery should be a home from home for your children and also a place where you are comfortable and welcomed. We value your input and have an open door policy; pop your head into the office and say hi!
I hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years and am also a qualified SENDCO, PANCO and Communication Champion.

With sports activities to support physical development and the Famly app for real-time updates, we ensure every child gets the best start in a safe, nurturing environment.

Our Zen Den is a peaceful, cosy space designed to support children’s wellbeing and emotional development. With soft lighting, calming textures, and sensory resources, it’s the perfect place for little ones to relax, reset, and feel safe. Whether they need a quiet moment or gentle one-to-one time, the Zen Den helps children self-regulate, build confidence, and feel calm throughout their day.
