About Us
Kids Planet Poulton Carr Head
At Kids Planet Poulton Carr Head, children thrive in a vibrant, nature-inspired environment that celebrates outdoor learning, exploration, and discovery. With a strong Udeskole outdoor ethos, our nursery embraces the outdoors in all weathers — from cooking on the fire pit and exploring the forest garden, to learning through hands-on experiences surrounded by natural resources.
Our newly installed teepee provides a unique outdoor learning space that complements this approach, offering children a calm area to come together for stories, group time, and reflection. Inside, our sensory room for babies provides a soothing, multi-sensory environment that supports emotional wellbeing and early development.
The nursery is divided into four age-appropriate rooms, each with its own dedicated outdoor area, allowing children to play and learn safely in spaces tailored to their stage of development. Our team includes a qualified teacher, ensuring a rich, balanced curriculum that prepares children for their next steps in education.
As part of our community curriculum, children regularly take part in exciting trips and experiences — from visits to art galleries, Blackpool Zoo, and Stanley Park, to exploring local landmarks and outdoor spaces. We are also developing our own nursery allotment, giving children first-hand experience of growing their own fruit and vegetables.
We are extremely proud that Kids Planet Poulton Carr Head was rated Ofsted Outstanding in January 2025, recognising the team’s commitment to delivering exceptional care, learning, and outdoor experiences.

ManagerGeorgina Simpson is the Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Poulton Carr Head.
I am the Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Poulton Carr Head, which was rated Ofsted Outstanding in January 2025. I hold a Foundation Degree in Early Years and have been a Nursery Manager since 2014. I am an experienced and knowledgeable leader, having previously dual managed settings, and I am passionate about supporting the development of young children and working alongside parents to offer guidance and support.
I have strong links with the local authority and hold high standards in everything I do, ensuring our nursery provides the very best care, education, and outcomes for every child. Wellbeing is at the heart of my leadership, and I’ve created a dedicated staff wellbeing space within the nursery where team members can relax and reflect. I regularly use this space for one-to-one check-ins, making sure everyone feels supported and valued.
I’m committed to succession planning, helping my team grow in confidence and achieve promotions within Kids Planet. Outside of nursery life, I enjoy spending time with my family and my son, making memories together.
