Overview
About Swinton
There’s room for your child’s interests at Kids Planet Swinton, from getting involved in messy play to experimenting with expressive art. Our purpose-built nursery on Station Road has spacious rooms and a secure outdoor area, with the park and library a short walk away.
Our team builds on what interests each child, using sensory experiences to encourage exploration rather than expecting a particular result. We support early communication through play and everyday interactions. As children approach primary school, those familiar experiences also help them practise doing more for themselves, with support from adults who know what they’re ready to try.

ManagerI have been part of the nursery since 2018, joining shortly after it opened. I began my journey as an apprentice and have since worked my way up to Nursery Manager. In 2025, I became a mum myself, and my daughter now attends the nursery—giving me an even deeper understanding of the care and trust families place in us every day.
Adventures Beyond the Classroom
Bringing Learning to Life with Outdoor Play
At Kids Planet, we believe the great outdoors is one of the best learning environments. Our unique nature-based learning encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and develop essential life skills through hands-on outdoor experiences. Whether it’s discovering wildlife, growing vegetables, or engaging in active play, we provide endless opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive in the natural world.
