Kids Planet Swinton is a warm and welcoming purpose-built nursery that opened in November 2017. Located on Station Road, just a short walk from the local park and library, our setting offers large, spacious rooms and a secure outdoor area where children can play, explore, and feel at home from the moment they arrive.

Our practitioners take time to understand each child’s interests, offering creative, hands-on experiences that encourage imagination, including messy play, expressive art, and sensory exploration. Mealtimes are relaxed and sociable, with balanced dishes and gentle opportunities for children to build confidence and independence around the table.

Safety and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do, with secure access systems and a nurturing team who create a calm, caring environment where children can learn and thrive. We also support early communication, confidence, and social skills, helping children feel excited and ready for their move to primary school.

Families are supported with 15 and 30 free hours for eligible children.

I have been part of the nursery since 2018, joining shortly after it opened. I began my journey as an apprentice and have since worked my way up to Nursery Manager. In 2025, I became a mum myself, and my daughter now attends the nursery—giving me an even deeper understanding of the care and trust families place in us every day.

Our fees cover everything your child needs for a happy, comfortable day, including nappies, wipes, formula milk, and sun cream, so you have one less thing to worry about. We provide freshly prepared, nutritious meals and snacks, catering to all dietary needs to keep little ones fuelled for a day of learning and play. With sports activities to support physical development and the Famly app for real-time updates, we ensure every child gets the best start in a safe, nurturing environment.
