An Egg-citing Delivery..

Our nurseries had special deliveries last week – some baby chicks. The ready to hatch eggs were delivered and placed in state of the art hatchers and the nurseries are keeping them safe until they hatch. Within a day or two the eggs should begin to hatch out of their shells – right in from of the children’s eyes.

The hatcher provides an excellent environment for hatching conditions. The temperature and humidity is controlled by an easy to use digital panel which allows perfect conditions for hatching. The children have a 360 degree view of the chicks and have enjoyed watching them.

The children have been learning all about the lifecycle and also how to care for the chicks. The children have loved interacting with them and watching them grow.
