Blog

1 March 2018

Regardless of age, we all know that snuggling up with a book before bedtime is a lovely way to settle down and calm the mind.  And for some children, that bedtime book provides much-needed comfort as they fall to sleep.

But, if you’re fed up of reading the same bedtime story, again each night, we’ve put together some of our new favourites to share.

Oi Frog! – Oi Frog and Friends by Kes Gray

A very funny book, jam-packed with lots of silly animals with hilarious illustrations and rhymes which are easy to recite and join in.

The Squirrels Who Squabbled by Rachel Bright

A laugh-out-loud tale about friendship and sharing, we love this one!

We’re Going on an Egg Hunt

With its beautiful spring-like illustrations, this lift the flap board book makes a perfect alternative gift this Easter.

Splish, Splash, Ducky! By Lucy Cousins

A bouncy read-aloud book; beautifully illustrated with bold, bright colours and packed with all sorts of outdoors fun this book shows younger readers the joys of a rainy day.

Guess How Much I Love You in the Spring  by Sam McBratney

A lovely way to teach children about the spring.

What are your favourite bedtime stories? Which ones do you remember from your childhood? Are they the same ones you read to your children? Happy reading everyone!
