Uniquely, each Kids Planet nursery has an on-site, qualified chef with an in-depth understanding of nutrition, food hygiene, and menu planning. Because our meals are cooked from scratch, adapting to meat-free or plant-based requirements is seamless.
“Everything is cooked from fresh, so it’s very easy for us to adapt our menus. I’m vegetarian myself and know that anything can be made delicious. I’ll swap mince for lentils in Bolognese, or make a curry with sweet potato and cauliflower. Our children often eat better here than they do at home!”

Whether for medical reasons (allergies and intolerances) or family preferences (Vegetarian, Vegan, or Halal), we ensure each child’s individual requirements are respected through a rigorous safety procedure:
Parents are asked about dietary needs during registration and again once the child has settled into their routine.
Requirements are logged in an online Care Plan, detailing specific needs, substitutions, and safety protocols.
Both the room team and the kitchen team must sign the Care Plan to confirm they have read and understood the child’s needs.
We promote a healthy relationship with food by providing colourful, inviting tables and delicious meals for every child, regardless of their dietary requirements.
