Kids Planet Day Nurseries has acquired Little Acorns, a group of three settings in Huddersfield.
Kids Planet’s ethos is ‘working together to inspire your world’, and every decision is driven by the children in our care’s interests, as we understand how precious the first five years are.
For that reason, we are committed to acquiring settings which match our values for quality childcare provision and environments, and we look forward to providing ongoing support to and optimising the Little Acorns group.
Little Acorns group provides quality childcare for children 0-5 years, with key beliefs in the importance of learning through play, good nutrition, personal care and attention, quality learning experiences and qualified staff.
As a large and growing group of now 113 nurseries, we have a support team in place to help the nursery and families on a day-to-day basis and we are looking forward to welcoming the three nurseries into our Kids Planet family.
Clare Roberts, CEO at Kids Planet, said:
“I am delighted that we have completed on three wonderful settings of Lepton Day Care, Little Acorns and Stepping Stones, who have joined the Kids Planet Group this week. They are all based in the Huddersfield area and are a wonderful addition to our thriving presence in the Yorkshire region.
Lepton and Stepping stones are two beautiful settings with a wonderful community presence, with Little Acorns being a striking, purpose-built nursery within the evergreens of rural Huddersfield.
What stood out for me was their dedication to their vital jobs and synergies with the Kids Planet ethos of providing the best quality childcare for parents. All three nurseries and their caring staff are a testament to their communities and I am really excited to watch them integrate and develop within the Kids Planet family.”
Allison Lee, Former Owner at Little Acorns said:
“Having been involved in the early years sector for almost 30 years, finding the right company to take over our nurseries was very important to us and we could not be happier selling to Kids Planet.
Kids Planet shares the same ethos as us, the company, although large, is predominantly family-based, and the support available for staff and parents is commendable. The whole sales process has been smooth from start to finish. Everyone we have dealt with has been highly efficient, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with in what is, inevitably, a stressful and emotional time.
We have absolutely no regrets selling to Kids Planet and are very confident in their ability to continue the work we have done over the years, taking the nurseries to a new and exciting level and we wish them every success for the future.”
