Kids Planet Acquires Nutkins Nursery

Kids Planet Day Nurseries have successfully acquired Nutkins Nursery, a nursery and out of school club located in Eccles, Manchester. This latest acquisition takes the group to 44 settings in the North West and the Midlands, providing care to more than 5,600 children.

Nutkins Nursery has been operating for over 20 years has an excellent reputation in their local communities having been set up by Zarina Halsall. Nutkins Nursery offer full day care facilities for children from birth to five years old, as well as an out-of-school club for up to 12 years.

Speaking about the latest acquisition, Clare Roberts, CEO at Kids Planet said: “We’re extremely excited to bring Nutkins Nursery into the group. We are looking forward to working with their teams and providing them with the support they need to continue delivering the very best possible care for children and parents in this area”.

Tom Shorten of Pinsent Masons acted for Kids Planet and Sofia Beck from Christie & Co assisted in the completion.

Kids Planet was established by working mum Clare Roberts and her father John Hoban in 2008 and has grown over the last decade to become a leading early years provider. Kids Planet are backed by BGF who have supported them with the funding of this latest acquisition.
