Our Adswood nursery in Stockport has raised over £100 for the terminal illness charity, Marie Curie.
The staff and children dressed as superheroes and in yellow for the day as part of the charities Great Daffodil Appeal which helps raise funds for people living with a terminal illness.
In addition to a yellow themed tombolo inside the nursery, Julie Peters, community fundraiser for the charity joined the children to plant daffodils and other yellow flowers in the nursery’s sensory garden.
Beth Breddy, Nursery Manager at Adswood, said: “A big thank you to all of our families who donated to this fantastic charity who help so many people and their families at a difficult time. As the daffodil is the symbol of Marie Curie we thought it would be a great idea for the children to combine their experiences of learning about plants with helping the charity”.
