Kids Planet expands into the North East with latest acquisition

We are thrilled to announce that Choice Childcare group of five nurseries in the North East of England has joined the Kids Planet family.

Previously part of the Choice Childcare group, the acquisition of Ashbrooke Day Nursery, Kenton Park Nursery School, Southfield Day Nursery, Wallsend Day Nursery and Westerhope Village Nursery sees our family expanding into a new area of the UK. The five Choice Childcare nurseries are in Westerhope, Gosforth, Cramlington, Wallsend and Sunderland.

Choice Childcare Ltd has an established presence in the North East early years sector and is an excellent fit with our high-quality expectations and ethos of ensuring children’s interests are at the heart of everything we do.

The group comprises:

Ashbrooke Day Nursery which, as a small and homely nursery, was one of the first nurseries to open in Sunderland.

Kenton Park Nursery School was the first nursery in the Choice Childcare group and opened in 1992.

Southfield Day Nursery which has a beautiful outdoor space and is in Cramlington, 6 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Wallsend Day Nursery which opened following an extensive refurbishment project of a former local authority library in 2016.

Westerhope Village Nursery which has been well established in the heart of the local community for almost 20 years.
