Kids Planet Hale gets a refurbishment

Company News

29 December 2021

Ofsted Outstanding Kids Planet Hale has recently undergone a makeover, with revamped interior and exterior, the introduction of neutral colours and spaces, new natural resources, and much more.

Located just ten minutes’ walk from Hale village and ideal for local walks to the park, shops, and library, the nursery was converted from a Doctor’s surgery in 2009 and has since been a Kids Planet nursery, benefitting from a sensory room, outdoor play areas, and catering for babies through to preschool.

Emily Johnson, third in charge at the Nursery, said: “The refurb has been amazing and has made an incredible difference. We’ve seen walls knocked down, rooms stripped, a beautiful paint job, and plenty of new resources.

Our newly renovated kitchen is brilliant and has received a five-star rating, and the carpeted flooring in the nursery has been replaced with lino, which is perfect for messy play. The tots room is now much bigger, which has given them more space to explore, and there is even a new garden for the tots with soft grass.

Everything has had a huge impact, and existing parents have been really hit with the impact of it. Not only that, the abundance of natural new resources are already helping the children with their physical development.”

The Kids Planet Approach

The environment is a crucial aspect of our offering at Kids Planet and is widely evidenced within the Early Years as being a key factor in supporting children’s learning and development.

At Kids Planet, you will notice a calm environment; a neutral space, accented with well-thought-out resources, purposely placed to support and extend children’s learning. We enhance our play spaces by reflecting on the children’s needs and specific interests.

When you walk into a Kids Planet setting, you know. You see it, you feel it. Children are engaged and challenged. For example, a role-play area will have been enhanced using real items, real clothing all of which provide children with endless learning opportunities and magical experiences.

Large-scale open-ended items are dispersed throughout construction spaces enabling children to construct the Eiffel Tower or simply a wall. The fabrics, the texture, the sensory experiences are embedded and threaded throughout all areas.

We understand how precious the first five years are and how they should be steeped in magic, awe and wonder and this is widely reflected within our spaces and through our amazing teams.

Places are available at Kids Planet Hale, open Monday to Friday 7.30am – 6.30pm.
