Kids Planet raise £690 for Mummy’s Star

Mummy’s Star charity have received £690 in donations following a successful nursery summer fair held at Kids Planet Day Nursery in Prestwich.

The charity is the only one in the UK and Ireland dedicated to women and their families affected by cancer during pregnancy shortly after birth. Founder and CEO of the charity, Pete Wallroth said: “We are absolutely delighted with the support we have received from the team, parents and children at Kids Planet in Prestwich. Fundraising like this makes such a big difference to the many families we support both in Greater Manchester and beyond, especially when they see it Is coming from families themselves. We can make fundraising like this stretch so far and its benefit cannot be underestimated for families when they are going through a cancer diagnosis with a very young family”.

Lucy Butterworth, Manager at the Prestwich nursery located on Nursery Road said: “We are so pleased with the money we have raised from our summer fair for such a wonderful and important charity and would like to thank all of our families and friends who have given so generously”.
