Kids Planet 1000th Employee Milestone

Following on from our 10th-year anniversary celebrations in September, we’re thrilled to announce our 1,000th employee to join the Kids Planet family! Rosie Hopkin pictured here with CEO Clare Roberts has joined the group in the new role of Office Manager at Head Office.

Originally from the North East, Rosie has two of her own children and is already feeling part of the Kids Planet family, “It was so important to me to find a company whose philosophy I could share and support. There is a huge importance for children to thrive when in someone else’s care in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Kids Planet captures all of this entirely making it so easy to really believe in as a company”.

We took five minutes out to chat to Rosie about her thoughts on joining Kids Planet:

Tell us a little bit about your background

I’m originally from the North East and have lived in the North West for the best part of ten years. I have a First Class degree in Events Management and am a qualified Primary School teacher.

I predominantly taught in Early Years mainly and most recently managed a local preschool before taking the decision to pursue my career fully.

What would you say is your biggest achievement so far?

My two fantastic and brilliant children. They are so full of energy and joy and bring so much adventure to our lives. I’m really looking forward to balancing my career as well as my role as ‘Mummy’.

What is your impression of working at KP?

I’ve been made to feel so welcome from the outset.  There is such a warm and friendly environment. Standards are extremely high and everyone works together with a shared purpose. I really do feel part of the Kids Planet family already.

Can you describe a typical day?

There isn’t a typical day which is what is so exciting. There is always something new, it’s busy and energizing. There is usually time at some point for a cup of tea thankfully!

On a personal note, what are some of your hobbies and interests?

It has been tricky to balance my own hobbies outside of my children’s very busy social life! However, I really enjoy going to the gym to take some time for myself. I’m a secret massive football fan (Newcastle United– hence the secret!) and of course, I indulge in a good G&T with my friends now and then.
