Six members of the Kids Planet Shrewsbury team took to the Shrewsbury Kids Festival on 26th and 27th February.
Getting involved with community events is important to Kids Planet, and with 10,000 attendees getting stuck into the fun, Kids Fest was a fantastic opportunity to be part of an event to broaden kids’ horizons with new experiences.
As sponsors of the Under 5’s Zone, Kids Planet staff enjoyed the opportunity to meet children and parents in the local area, displaying loose parts and sensory items, and promoting the upcoming Open Day on 19th March.
The Kids Planet Under 5’s Zone gave younger children their own space to explore and meet the Kids Planet team along the way, with special thanks to the following staff who took time out of their weekends to attend: Tenneal Griffiths, Rachel Hatfield, Louise Kilroy, Sarah Williams, Donna Hill, and Susie McShane.
Beth Heath, Director of Fun, said: “What a great start to the festival year it was. We were so heartened to see so many families in attendance. They all seemed to have a fantastic time.”
The children enjoyed the weekend with inflatables, bungee trampolines, and much more, and families were able to learn more about Kids Planet and book a place for a tour of the Shrewsbury nursery.
Located at the former Chiquito restaurant on Battlefield Road, Kids Planet Shrewsbury has had a complete fit out, which includes a sensory room and large outdoor areas. The 120 place nursery provides the highest standard of childcare for babies through to preschool.
Kids Planet Shrewsbury is open Monday to Friday from 7am until 7pm.
