Kids Planet sponsoring the Sunflower Competition 2022

Kids Planet is proud to be sponsoring the Raring2Go Altrincham and Sale Sunflower Competition for the second year running, an initiative that has been running for four years as a fun way for children to get outdoors and attempt to grow the tallest sunflower!

Raring 2 Go is distributing seed packs (plus pots, sticks, instruction leaflets etc) in March to local children (through playgroups, nurseries, brownie groups, after-school clubs etc) and inviting them to submit photographs of their seeds as they grow. Winners will be announced in September and prizes will be awarded to the tallest sunflowers.

Despite the restrictions, there was a brilliant response to the competition in 2020 and 2021 and the organisers are hoping 2022 will be even bigger.

Let’s hope the sun keeps shining. We are looking forward to seeing the fabulous sunflowers.
