Kids Planet Stretton raising funds for Just4Children

Kids Planet Stretton have raised £550 for the children’s charity, Just 4 Children.

Following several fundraising events held at the nursery, a cheque for £550 has been presented to the charity, which provide support for families to help their children with disabilities and sickness.

The money raised is helping Elsa Sherlock who attends the Stretton nursery and who was born suddenly at 35 weeks after contracting Listeria Sepsis. As Elsa grew, she failed to meet her milestones and at age 3, after an MRI scan, was diagnosed with PVL (damage to the brain) which led to her having Cerebral Palsy.

The funds will help cover the costs of various therapies and for equipment to allow Elsa to carry out a physio programme at home to help her master climbing stairs, running, jumping and walking longer distances.

Sarah Foster, Nursery Manager at the Stretton nursery on Tarporley Road said: “We’re so grateful to our families who have helped us raise such an amazing amount of money to help Elsa with the various therapies and equipment she requires”.
