Kids Planet Woodside keeping the community warm!

Kids Planet Woodside is passionate about helping the local community in Bradford, and this week the team rallied together to run a Warm Space Event at the Family Hub at Reevy Hill Children’s Centre.

On 26^th October, alongside offering warm soup and drinks, the team provided fun craft activities and lots of warm items for families in need to keep warm over the winter period.

Kids Planet and Heatons, the group’s main supplier of merchandise, donated over 100 hats, 100 gloves, and 100 scarves to provide to the families.

The Kids Planet Woodside team has also been collecting children’s pyjamas from families at the nursery, and any other items that keep you warm such as blankets, coats, and hot water bottles, all for the local library to give out to families.

The children enjoyed creating autumn wreaths, decorating biscuits, colouring in pictures, and even creating sticky pictures using shaving foam.

Cherelle Webster, Senior Manager at Kids Planet Woodside, said:

“We had a wonderfully busy but fantastic afternoon! There was amazing feedback from all families expressing how organised the event was and how the children enjoyed the craft activities. One family even stayed from 11am-2pm as her children didn’t want to go home! I’d like to give a special thank you to all who have supported us in helping families in the local area, including Heaton’s, and Kelly, Kaitlyn and Holly from the team.”
