Ryan Bradshaw, Team Leader at Kids Planet Victoria Hospital, has won the ‘Bee Unique’ Award at The Lancashire Bee Mindful Awards 2022.
The award was created to celebrate and recognise those who want to make a difference, and aren’t afraid to be who they truly are and share it with the world.
Having worked in childcare for over six years, with babies through to preschool, Ryan has a wealth of experience and a passion for supporting children to thrive and be the best that they can be.
Ryan walked away from the Awards night on 26th November as a proud winner, saying: “It was amazing to be nominated for an award, but to actually win? I’m on cloud nine. For some time now I have doubted myself and lacked confidence to whether I am being the best practitioner I can be and the best role model for the children I work with.
This award has reminded me of my passion, the reason why I do what I do, and my love for early years education. Having the opportunity to be in a room amongst other inspiring people, I finally felt like I belonged. I am proud to be unique.”
As a keen networker, Ryan loves sharing ideas with other nurseries and early years professionals, which led him to meet the Co-Founders of ‘Mini Minds Matter’, Julie Robinson and Mandy Worsley, who hosted the awards event.
Julie and Mandy set up Mini Minds Matter in 2020, primarily focusing on children within the early years sector. Their focus is to make a difference to young people, supporting families and children who need support in mental health and wellbeing.
Having seen so many individuals overcome challenges and strive to make an impact on others, the team set up the Bee Mindful awards night to celebrate individual people and organisations in the sector.
Julie Robinson, Director of Mini Minds Matter UK, said: “We are really privileged to have been able to award this young man the Bee Unique award. When you see true passion In early years, it needs to be nurtured and invested in. He is an inspiration to many. Keep up the great work Ryan!”
