****Updated Advice Related to Coronavirus Infection**** Tuesday 17th March
Government measures were stepped up yesterday and we want to update you on how the latest advice affects our setting:
Nurseries are not advised to close. Closure of schools and nurseries will disrupt the working lives of parents (some of whom work for emergency services) and could increase reliance on vulnerable people such as elderly grandparents, for childcare.
An entire household, should stay at home for 14 days after one of the following symptoms begins even in one family member:
1) A new and persistent cough OR
2) A high temperature
Please tell us if you decide to keep your child at home.
The government have also recommended measures for social distancing in the coming weeks. As such, we have cancelled all unnecessary meetings and events. We have limited trips to outdoor venues only and we are not currently using public transport on trips.
If your child has a health condition that makes them especially vulnerable, they should take particular care with social distancing measures and you may wish to consider keeping your child at home until the government advise that social contact is safe.
Infection Control advice remains and we are vigilant with cleaning and handwashing. We can confirm that there have been no cases of coronavirus in any of our nurseries, to date. If there is a confirmed case, we will contact parents and take all advice from Public Health England.
We appreciate your co-operation with government guidance and can assure you we are doing all we can to communicate the most up to date advice and information available.
