Solihull nursery gets Kids Planet makeover

In August, Kids Planet acquired three Birmingham-based nurseries (previously Peepo Day Nurseries) in Solihull, Hatchford, and Moseley. Since then, the nurseries have been transitioning to the Kids Planet brand, and Kids Planet is proud to reveal that Solihull has completed its makeover.

Alongside the Kids Planet name, the Solihull nursery’s interior has been revamped, with Kids Planet’s style of neutral spaces, new natural resources, colours, flooring, and much more.

The recent makeover was done in the lead-up to Solihull’s Open Day, and after lots of positive feedback, six families signed up on the day and several more registered interest.

Teresa Cattell, Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Solihull, said: “It has been a total makeover. Every wall was a different colour, and the floor was carpeted. Now the walls are a fresh magnolia colour, and the floors are fitted with lino.

The kitchen was very domestic looking and has now been fitted with all new stainless steel appliances. All plastic toys have gone and been replaced with natural materials such as wood and metal.

We recently hosted an afternoon tea and craft session with the children and parents and the response from existing parents has been great; they are simply amazed by the difference.

Not only that, but we’ve been able to see a positive impact on the children. Their focus and concentration has improved, possibly because there are lots of new things around and they are enjoying the aspects of dressing up, using their imagination more with new toys, and exploring new areas.”

We were able to build a calm environment with well thought out resources, full of opportunities to stimulate curiosity and challenge the children’s thinking. I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the newly rebranded nursery setting.”

Catering for babies through to preschool with a “home from home” atmosphere for children, Solihull is a well-established nursery in Birmingham, ideally located for city centre commuters. Kids Planet Solihull is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 6.00pm.
