Warrington’s Mayor Visits Kids Planet

Company News

26 November 2018

Cllr Karen Elizabeth Mundry visited Kids Planet Day Nursery in Stretton last week.  The well-established setting in south Warrington, formerly Stretton Private Day Nursery, is a 63-place nursery with extensive gardens and a specific focus on outdoor play.

Enjoying time with the children, the Mayor talked about the chains of office which were originally donated by the Greenhall Family who, by coincidence, owned the house the nursery now operates out of on Tarporley Road.

Having worked at the nursery herself nine years ago, Cllr Mundy recognised the changes that had taken place since Kids Planet took over earlier this year but, was pleased to see many of the same staff commenting, ‘how lovely it is and what great resources the children have access to’.

Following the visit, Nursery Manager, Sarah Foster, said, “The children enjoyed hearing about the Mayor’s role and even better that she was able to join in with the preschool children dancing and singing to Baby Shark!”
