Winnington ‘get kids going’ for charity

Kids Planet Winnington nursery has this week been getting active in aid of the ‘Get Kids Going’ charity for sport and mobility for disabled children.

To raise money, the nursery staff and children – from babies to preschool – enjoyed having an ice cream van and taking part in physical activities.

The sports events included a colour hunt, balloon catching, obstacle courses and paint and roll games.

Victoria Seddon, Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Winnington, said:

“Thank you to all our lovely families for donating to this amazing charity. It was a fantastic sports day event, finished off with a delicious ice cream or a strawberry fruit kebab to end our day!

I’m very proud of the whole team. It is brilliant when all the children and staff come together, especially for such an important cause. The donation pots will be out until the end of the week.”

Kids Planet Winnington is a brand new, purpose built nursery located in Winnington Urban Village which opened October 2021.
