Kids Planet Woodside has been very busy over the Christmas period, giving back to the local community.
As if handing out Christmas cards to the local community, and hosting a Warm Space Event at the Family Hub wasn’t enough, what else has the team been up to?
Once they saw that their Local Woodside Village Centre was putting on a ‘12 days of an advent calendar’, creating hampers and choosing an address at random, the Woodside team decided they just had to gift them a hamper.
The donated hamper went out to a lucky home address in the local area, which is a welcome surprise at this time of year, and also raises awareness of this village centre which supports the local area with classes, stay and plays, hot soup and much more.
The team also enjoyed a visit to Leeds Children’s Hospital with a hamper full of activities and treats for the children over Christmas time.
Cherelle Webster, Senior Manager at Kids Planet Woodside, said:
“It’s so important it give back to our community and our NHS especially after the recent tough times after the pandemic. Leeds hospital is in our local community and we are so happy that many children and families will benefit from the resources that we have given. Thank you to all team at Leeds Hospital for all the hard work you do every day.”
And finally, the team that just keeps giving visited Leeds Eckersley House – The Sick Children’s Trust, with cleaning supplies, toiletries, and children’s presents, donated by parents and cleaning supplier Cutlers.
These donations help to support the parents staying there over Christmas. The Woodside nursery has collected for Leeds Eckersley house for the last 10 years and this is very close to their hearts.
Kids Planet Woodside nursery is located in an ideal place for parents. The team is specifically chosen for their passion, commitment, skills and qualifications, and pride themselves on bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the children at the nursery.
