Education, training and the continual professional development of staff is a crucial priority for us. At Kids Planet, we are responsible for the care and education of over 5,000 children across 38 nursery settings to date and are committed to ensuring every child is given the best opportunities during their time with us.  As an employer with over 1000 people in permanent, supply and Apprenticeship roles, we recognise that the quality of staff we employ and the skills they develop and possess is critical to our success.

We are dedicated to developing and training our staff to reach their full potential, to ensure they maintain and improve the knowledge and skills they require to meet the needs of their job and the children we care for.

We don’t expect experience, but we do expect focus.  Working in childcare is a profession, and it needs to be treated that way.  Employing staff who want to grow and develop in their childcare career is critical. Tell us more about the Training Academy.

Education, training and the continual professional development of staff is a crucial priority at Kids Planet.  In February 2018, due to a myriad of reasons including growth in number of settings, increase in personnel, the need to recruit new staff plus the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy, we decided to develop our internal approach to the delivery of accredited programmes including Apprenticeships in Early Years, sector-specific courses and Higher Education courses. As of this month, we have 68 apprentices on the programme. We’re lucky to have a highly skilled training team of tutors, assessors, mentors and staff with extensive and current experience in Early Years.  And, with access to excellent training rooms at our Salford nursery, our Greenbank Park nursery in Liverpool and our Head Office in Lymm, theoretical teaching can take place.  It’s important for us to achieve Outstanding provision in everything we do by and we believe we are doing this by putting teaching and learning at the heart of Kids Planet Day Nurseries Training.

Complaints policy and procedure.

Kids Planet Training Academy are committed to delivering a quality service at all times. However, we accept that occasionally learners and other associated customers may have cause to make a complaint. This policy and procedure describes how to make a complaint to Kids Planet Training if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service. If you encounter a level of service that you feel does not meet your expectations, we would like to hear from you. Kids Planet Training encourages all feedback, including complaints, and have developed a Complaints policy, as well as associated procedure. This complaints policy does not cover any appeals against a decision made by Kids Planet Training in relation to an assessment or quality assurance judgment, instead, any enquiry or appeal should be submitted via the processes as set out in the Kids Planet Appeals procedure.
