About West Bridgford
At Kids Planet West Bridgford in Nottingham, children are encouraged to learn through play, exploration and real-life experiences. Whether they’re planting and growing in our allotment, discovering wildlife or exploring the different areas of our fantastic garden, there’s always something new to discover.
We welcome children from six weeks to five years, with age-appropriate rooms designed to support every stage of their learning and development. Our friendly and welcoming team helps children build confidence, curiosity and independence in a safe and caring environment.
To help your family feel at home from day one, we offer settling-in sessions where you and your child can get to know the nursery, meet our team and discuss your child’s routines and preferences. With convenient on-site parking and pram storage available, we aim to make drop-offs and collections that little bit easier.

Meet the Team

Alison Putnar
ManagerAlison Putnar is the nursery manager; she founded the nursery in September 2012 and stayed on as manager following the take over by Kids Planet. She is NNEB qualified and has over 30 years experience of working in childcare, working in local authority family centres and for 12 years as an Ofsted inspector. Alison has 2 children of her own which gives her comprehensive understanding of issues relating to separation, being a parent and finding high quality childcare.
Community and Planet
Learning through giving back
We’re passionate about nurturing caring, environmentally aware little ones. From learning about bees and taking part in No Mow May to making cards for local heroes, we embed kindness and sustainability into everyday experiences. Our children love getting involved in litter picking and field tidy activities, helping them understand the importance of looking after their community. As a team, we also lead by example, proudly raising £1,600 for Cancer Research UK through the Race for Life in June 2025.
