Kids Planet Chester is a purpose-built nursery located within four acres of private land owned by Chester Rugby Club.

Opened in February 2021, the nursery caters for babies through to preschoolers and offers a calm, nurturing environment where children are supported to learn, grow, and thrive.

Each of our bright, airy rooms is equipped with age-appropriate furniture and high-quality natural resources, creating a welcoming space for child-led learning and discovery.Our highly qualified team brings over 50 years of combined experience, and we’re proud to have achieved Udeskole accreditation – our unique nature-based learning approach.

Children make full use of our forest area, developing confidence, curiosity, and a love of the outdoors.

We also provide enriching opportunities such as daily sports sessions with our in-house sports coach, a sensory room for exploration and calm, and home learning resources like adventure backpacks and our parent-child lending library.Families are always part of the experience here.

From regular stay and play sessions to our tea and coffee station in reception, we make every effort to create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels at home.

For added convenience, we offer secure door entry, visitor parking, and a strong sense of community at the heart of our nursery.

I have worked at this nursery since 2012 and been the manager since August 2024. I have a level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, a Level 3 award for SEN and a degree in events management.
I have had the pleasure of watching both my sons grow up here too, alongside my longstanding team of staff.
I am passionate about the outdoors and believe every child should have the opportunity to spend every day outdoors where possible. I am proud of our amazing garden space and access to the vast grounds around us, including the forest behind the nursery where we are able to incorporate our settings Udeskole nature-based approach.

With sports activities to support physical development and the Famly app for real-time updates, we ensure every child gets the best start in a safe, nurturing environment.

Outdoor Adventures Daily

We’re proud to be an accredited Udeskole setting, offering daily opportunities for nature-based learning. Our nursery is surrounded by acres of green space, including a dedicated forest area where children can explore, play, and learn outside the classroom. Udeskole, meaning “outdoor school,” helps children build confidence, teamwork, and resilience while connecting with the natural world. Whether it’s climbing, collecting leaves, or storytelling under the trees, our outdoor sessions support wellbeing, curiosity, and real-world understanding in every season.

Our dedicated sensory room offers a peaceful, engaging space where children can explore light, sound, texture, and movement in a safe and supportive environment. Designed to support sensory development and emotional regulation, the room is especially beneficial for children with additional needs.
