How you’ll make a difference as a Supply/Bank Early Years Educator
- Through providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children, supporting their development in line with the EYFS.
- By working flexibly with teams to deliver engaging activities and maintain routines in the nursery.
- By building positive relationships with children and families, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment.
What a Supply/Bank Early Years Educator needs
- Desirable but not essential to be Level 2 qualified or higher in a UK recognised early years qualification.
- An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, or an enthusiasm to learn more.
- Knowledge of safeguarding children.

Kids Planet is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and young people. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role. We expect all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment, and safeguarding training is a fundamental part of every role. All colleagues are required to complete regular training to ensure they understand and fulfil their responsibilities. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate is mandatory for all positions, and this role will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our safeguarding duties.
About Kids Planet Wetherby
At Kids Planet Wetherby, children from six weeks to five years can enjoy a large garden for nature-based play and a sensory room for discovery indoors. Our purpose-built nursery is within Crossley Street Primary School grounds, with our team supporting learning through play and through the things children do and notice.
We work closely with families to understand each child’s development and needs. Experiences are adapted for children who require additional support, helping them take part in ways that suit them. Sports sessions offer opportunities to enjoy movement and practise physical skills, alongside time for children to explore their own interests through play.
