Supporting every child to thrive
Inclusion isn’t something we add on, it’s part of who we are.
How we make inclusion happen
Individual Understanding
Recognising each child's strengths, interests and needs to shape the support they receive.
Working Together
Building close partnerships with families and involving them in decisions about their child's care and development.
Specialist Expertise
Nursery teams are supported with SEND guidance, training and collaborative working. We also work closely with relevant agencies for individualised support.
Expertise and care you can rely on
Every Kids Planet nursery has a dedicated SENDCo who works with families and practitioners to understand each child’s needs and coordinate appropriate support.
Our central SEND Support Team provides additional expertise, guidance and training, helping nursery teams adapt their approach and access specialist support from relevant agencies where needed.
Working in partnership with you
Nobody knows your child better than you. By combining your knowledge with our early years expertise, we can develop support around their individual needs.
We’ll keep you involved, share progress and agree on the next steps together, ensuring your voice remains central to decisions about your child’s care and development.
Supporting families through every stage
If you have concerns about your child’s development, we’re here to listen and help you explore the next steps.
Your nursery SENDCo can discuss suitable strategies, help coordinate referrals where appropriate and work alongside other professionals involved in your child’s care.
In England, if an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessment becomes appropriate, we can also help gather the information needed to support the process. And the same applies for Individual Development Plans (IDP) for children with additional needs in Wales.
Your questions answered
No. If you have concerns or questions about your child’s development, speak to your nursery team. We can discuss what you’ve noticed, consider appropriate strategies and explore whether additional support might help.
Not necessarily. Support is based on individual needs and might involve changes to routines, activities or the environment. We’ll work with you to discuss what is appropriate for your child.
Where appropriate, we work alongside professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Educational Psychologists to help coordinate support for your child.
