About Carrington
Children at Kids Planet Carrington can explore our nursery garden and help grow flowers in community gardens, connecting their learning with the neighbourhood. We welcome children from six weeks to five years in a Victorian building convenient for Nottingham commuters. Every room has a sensory area, and the cosy Hive offers space for reflection and emotional support.
Visits to a local care home create moments of connection with other generations, while food bank collections support the wider community. Our team builds on these shared experiences through play, helping children notice the people and places around them as well as develop their own interests.

ManagerMy name is Donna Wait, and I have worked in childcare for over 20 years starting as an apprentice and working my way up to manager. I have a passion to help others and find childcare fascinating, I have watched many children grow through the years and is a pleasure to see them thrive and transition to school. I have two children of my own and I love to spend time with my family.

Our Hive is a warm, welcoming space designed with flexibility and inclusivity in mind. Whether for small group time, stay-and-play sessions with families, or as a quiet, secure area to support children with SEND, The Hive offers a calm environment where every child can feel safe, seen, and supported. With free-flow access to the garden, children can choose to move between indoor and outdoor spaces as they need, helping them thrive at their own pace, in their own way.
