About Hatchford
Kids Planet Hatchford is our dedicated preschool, just around the corner from Kids Planet Solihull. We help children approaching school age learn through play and everyday experiences, helping them build friendships, build confidence and express their ideas. There’s time to explore what interests them and practise doing more for themselves.
Our team works closely with colleagues at Solihull, so children moving between the settings have continuity in their care and learning. Getting to know new people and routines is part of that transition. We support each child’s next steps with encouragement and practical opportunities to learn, keeping the move to primary school in mind.

Gemma Harrison
ManagerI have been part of the Kids Planet family for over four years, previously working as a Deputy Manager at another setting, and I am thrilled to have moved to Hatchford & Solihull in my new role as Manager.
I hold a BA (Honours) degree alongside a Level 3 qualification in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). With over 20 years’ experience in childcare, I am passionate about Early Years education and dedicated to ensuring every child receives the best possible start in life.
One of my greatest joys is watching children grow, learn, and thrive in a nurturing, inspiring, and supportive environment.
