About Wakefield Road
Kids Planet Wakefield Road is a multicultural nursery in Bradford, a short walk from the town centre. We celebrate families’ different backgrounds, bringing cultural traditions and languages into daily activities. Bright indoor spaces with natural resources and secure outdoor areas give children room to explore and express their own ideas.
Our dual key person system helps families stay connected with their child’s progress through regular communication. Our team gets to know each child and uses their interests to support learning through play. As children grow, we encourage them to try things for themselves, with support that reflects their individual development, building confidence for the next steps they’re taking.

Melissa Jarman
ManagerI started my childcare journey as an apprentice before becoming Room Lead at Wyke. When Wyke joined the Kids Planet family, I was proud to step up as Deputy and later moved to Wakefield Road, where I now enjoy my role as Manager.
I’m trained in Mental Health First Aid and care deeply about the wellbeing of our children, families, and team. Creating a welcoming, supportive environment is at the heart of everything I do. I’m especially passionate about giving every child the chance to thrive by promoting cultural capital and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
