Are you eligible for funded childcare?

Funded childcare for 2, 3 and 4-year olds

All 3 to 4-year-olds in England can get 570 free hours of funded childcare per year, usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year.

You may also be able to take up 15 hours of funded childcare for your 2-year-old if you meet the eligibility criteria.

Some 3 to 4-year-olds are eligible for 30 hours free childcare a week. Your eligibility depends on:

    • if you are working
    • your income (and your partner’s income, if you have one)
    • your child’s age and circumstances
    • your immigration status

At Kids Planet, we have 15 and 30 hour funded places available for 2, 3- and 4-year olds. We welcome funded children and encourage parents to make use of the funded hours offered to them. What you get depends on how old your child is, where you live, and your family circumstances.

If your child needs year-round care or part-time support, our funded childcare gives parents greater flexibility without worrying about the cost.  Depending on eligibility, your child can take up their funded place from the term after they turn two.

What are the benefits of sending your child to a nursery?

A Kids Planet nursery is the first stepping stone on your child’s educational journey. Across our nurseries, we provide a range of learning and play activities, carefully planned to keep your child active, happy and engaged.  Nursery also helps your child:

    • Experience daily routines and develop good habits helping children to feel secure and safe.
    • Develop social skills which enable them to form healthy relationships with other people. At nursery, children learn how to share and take turns, listen and communicate their ideas and become independent.
    • Build on important skills for social, emotional and academic success.
