A brand-new outdoor garden and forest school area has opened at our nursery in Congleton.
The well-thought-out garden environment offers children at the nursery on Chapel Street the opportunity to explore and discover the natural world.
Created in partnership with Newby Leisure, the garden, which includes herb and vegetable planters, large, grassed areas, a mud kitchen, and a zen den offers children a space full of sensory richness and away from technology. The addition of a fire pit area will also enable the nursery to deliver on site Forest school sessions.
Kids Planet Outdoor Lead, Rhiannon Scott said: “We believe it is essential for children to have the opportunity to spend time outdoors to build an important connection with the natural world. The whole team at Congleton have worked so hard to enhance their revamped garden and Forest school area and it’s been wonderful to see just how much the children are enjoying their new outdoor spaces”.
The well-established nursery located in the town centre was previously owned by Hilltop Day Nursery before being acquired by Kids Planet group in 2017. Catering for babies to preschool, the Ofsted outstanding nursery is open Monday to Friday, 7:30 am till 6:00 pm, 52 weeks of the year.
