Get your code early for funded childcare

The funding deadline of 31^st December is fast approaching, but we are recommending that parents lock in their child’s place before 30^th November! 

At Kids Planet Day Nurseries, we believe in providing quality, early years education for all and support the government funded childcare scheme. Funding helps your child thrive in a supportive learning environment and nursery settings have so much to offer and contribute towards a child’s physical, social and cognitive development.

The funding expansion:

• As of April 2024, eligible working parents of 2-year-olds can access 15 hours per week
• As of September 2024, eligible working parents of children aged 9 months up to 3 years old can access 15 hours per week
• From September 2025, eligible working parents of children aged 9 months up to 3 years old can access 30 hours per week

Secure up to 30 hours of funded childcare!  

The next application deadline is 31^st December, and we are urging families to submit their eligibility code to us by 30^th November. Applying early helps avoid delays and guarantees your place, and with the busy holiday season approaching, it’s important to ensure you receive your code in good time.

Please keep in mind that it can take up to 7 days for your code to be issued, which you’ll need to provide to us to claim your funded hours.

How to apply

You will need to apply via the Gov.uk site  – Check what help you could get with childcare costs – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

To apply, set up a childcare account. If you pay for childcare and want help with costs through Tax-Free Childcare, you can apply using the same service.

You will need for each responsible adult within the household:

• National Insurance Number/Unique Tax Code if self employed
• Work start date
• Details of any support or benefits
• UK birth certificate for your child

Once accepted, you will receive a code which you will need to pass to your nursery manager so this can be added to your invoice.

Renewing your code

Please be aware that your eligibility for funded childcare including Tax Free childcare needs to be renewed every three months. You will receive a reminder email to the address you registered when applying so keep an eye out for this, make sure the address is in your safe list and be aware that if you miss the renewal date you will need to wait for the next term before applying again.
