KIDS PLANET ACQUIRES ANGELS BY DAY DOUBLE

Kids Planet is delighted to announce the recent acquisition of Angels By Day (Children’s Day Nursery) Limited, operating two settings in Nottingham – Hillside House in Lenton, and Springfield House in Bulwell.

The two nurseries join us with hard-working teams who bring a creative and flexible approach to both learning and childcare. They are passionate about working alongside parents to ensure the children get the very best start in life, instilling confidence and curiosity and helping them to reach their full potential.

Fiona Day, previous owner of Angels by Day Limited, said: “Angels by Day was initially my own personal childcare fix, a five year plan to provide a quality, flexible option until my youngest (of my then three under five!) went to school. 27 years later, having come to love the business of early education, I was struggling to let go until I met with Kids Planet.
Having made the decision to sell, what mattered most was ensuring that all the children at Angels, from diverse backgrounds with hugely varied cultural capital, would continue to be encouraged and cared for, by a staff team supported in both their own continued professional development and the running of two thriving nurseries.
Kids Planet’s ethos places children at the heart of everything which, of course, was echoed by our philosophy. Kids Planet’s fantastic training opportunities for staff and the hugely supportive management team combined with their understanding of how to support families with young children made them the best possible fit.”

Founded in 2008 by Clare Roberts and her father John Hoban, initially with two settings in Warrington and Widnes, Kids Planet has grown significantly over the last 16 years with a mission to deliver the highest quality of childcare. With Clare as CEO and Lucy Kaczmarska as Operations Director, Kids Planet remains a family-run and family-focused business.

Kids Planet Day Nurseries has grown to 216 settings across the UK through a combination of acquisition and greenfield developments. Our focus continues to be acquiring existing nursery settings that fit with our values for the highest quality in childcare and seeking development opportunities to build our geographical presence.
