Kids Planet Chris Abell ‘OUTSTANDING’!

The team at Kids Planet Chris Abell Nursery in Cambridge is delighted to have been awarded ‘Ofsted Outstanding’ in all areas following their recent inspection.

Early in 2022, Kids Planet was selected by the University of Cambridge to run the daily operations of the Chris Abell nursery, a purpose-built setting that provides childcare for the children of University staff and students. Named after the late Chris Abell, former Chair of the Nursery Project Board, Kids Planet was honoured to be chosen and the nursery has gone from strength to strength.

The Ofsted Outstanding Report revealed how ‘children flourish in the nursery’ and ‘eagerly explore their environment and relish discovering new things from a wealth of experiences and resources’. The report highlights how ‘practitioners implement an inspiring curriculum that builds on children’s interests and helps to ensure that they all make the very best progress’.

“Having taken over as nursery manager at Kids Planet Chris Abell in October, I can say I’m immensely proud of the team and everything we have achieved recently. Achieving Outstanding is a true testimony to the team and the hard work they have put in.

We are extremely proud of the environment we have created, to have children who are thriving daily, and to have a team that values the importance of communication. We will continue to strive to provide Outstanding care for all the children and families that attend our nursery.”
