Our pedagogy creates a consistent approach to learning across every Kids Planet nursery, while giving practitioners the flexibility to respond to each child’s interests and needs.
Built on early years research and the experience of our teams, it creates engaging, purposeful learning through five pedagogical routes: Play, Experiences, Connection, Environment and Community.

Every experience has a purpose
Children are naturally curious and learn by exploring, asking questions, solving problems and making sense of the world around them. Our practitioners create experiences that encourage children to investigate, create, collaborate and think for themselves.
Whether sharing a story, exploring outdoors, building with blocks or discovering something new through play, every experience is thoughtfully planned to support children’s development while nurturing a love of learning.
Preparing children for what's next
A strong early years education lays the foundations for everything that follows.
Through our curriculum and pedagogy, children develop language, early literacy and mathematics alongside creativity, problem-solving, communication and independence. By the time they leave for school, they’ve developed the knowledge, skills and attitudes that help them embrace new experiences and continue learning with curiosity.

Guided by their interests
Our curriculum gives children strong foundations for learning, but we know some of the most meaningful discoveries begin with the child.
Our practitioners take time to notice what captures each child’s interest and use this as a starting point for learning. They build on those interests through play and new experiences, introducing ideas at the right moment and giving children space to explore in their own way.
It means learning is purposeful without being prescribed, guided by our curriculum, shaped by the child and supported by practitioners who know how to help their thinking develop.
