Kids Planet Great Sankey is a vibrant and welcoming nursery set within a beautifully converted 19th-century church hall. First opened in 2018, the setting offers spacious rooms filled with natural light, engaging outdoor areas, and a state-of-the-art sensory room, providing the perfect foundation for children to grow, learn, and thrive.

We provide exceptional childcare and early education for babies through to preschoolers, with our highly qualified and nurturing team tailoring care to suit every stage of development. From their very first day, children are supported to feel secure, confident, and inspired to explore the world around them.

Our thoughtfully designed environment includes a communication-friendly area, a dedicated sensory room, and a large outdoor play space, where children enjoy daily physical activities and connect with nature through Outdoor School sessions led by our experienced nursery sports coach. These sessions help build resilience, encourage problem-solving, and promote a lifelong love of the outdoors.

Beyond the nursery, our location enables regular trips to local amenities such as the library, nearby parks, the church, and other points of interest. With great access to bus routes, we’re able to expand our adventures further into the local community, helping children build meaningful connections and explore new experiences.

At Great Sankey, we offer flexible sessions to suit your schedule, including an early bird option from 7:00–7:30am (available at an additional cost). We also host stay-and-play sessions, open days, and wellbeing coffee mornings, so you feel just as connected to your child’s journey as we are.

Manager

Alex has over 10 years’ experience within early years and has worked as a deputy manager since 2020. She has joined Great Sankey in May 2024 as the Nursery Manager. Alex is extremely passionate about delivering a high standard of care and teaching to the children and building strong links with our families and local community. Alex has two children herself with a great passion for outdoors & nature based learning and strives for children to learn and thrive in all environments.
