Kids Planet Higher Broughton is a bright and welcoming nursery situated in a former Police Station on the corner of Park Lane and Bury New Road. Our unique building offers large, open-plan rooms with direct access to secure outdoor play areas for each age group, as well as a separate roof-terrace playground exclusively for our preschool children.

We are proud to create a strong sense of belonging, where every child feels valued from the moment they arrive. I have over 15 years experience in early years in all age ranges and have been with the Kids Planet since 2015. I hold a BA Honours degree in Childcare and Education and also have a very high knowledge of supporting children with Special Educational Needs and is a qualified Mental First Aid trainer supporting children and adults. I have a vast knowledge of the EYFS and the Birth to Five Matters.

With sports activities to support physical development and the Famly app for real-time updates, we ensure every child gets the best start in a safe, nurturing environment.

Space to Soothe

Our dedicated sensory room offers a peaceful, tactile environment designed to support children who benefit from quieter spaces or sensory experiences. Thoughtfully equipped to encourage exploration through touch, the room provides a comforting space where little ones can relax, recharge, or take part in focused one-to-one or small group activities. Whether used for sensory regulation or quiet time, it’s a nurturing space tailored to every child’s individual needs.

Our reception area is home to our ever-changing faith boxes and celebration displays, proudly representing the diverse cultures and beliefs of our nursery community.
