Overview
About Langdale Road
Kids Planet Langdale Road has cared for local families for more than 20 years, formerly as Play Away Nursery. We welcome babies through to preschoolers, with an experienced team that gets to know each child and works closely with parents. Your child’s interests guide their play and learning.
We help children get to know one another and find ways to express their ideas through everyday play. Our team understands that trying something new can take time, and offers encouragement when your child needs it. Knowing each child’s development helps us build on their skills while keeping learning connected with the things they enjoy.

ManagerI joined the nursery in September 2011 as a student while completing my Level 3 qualification and have been part of the team ever since. During this time, I have progressed through a variety of roles, including Early Years Educator, Room Leader, and now Nursery Manager.
I am passionate about early childhood development and dedicated to ensuring every child feels safe, secure, and valued. I strive to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow in confidence, develop key skills, and reach their full potential.
I was fortunate to have my daughter attend the nursery from the baby room through to Preschool, which gave me a unique perspective as both a parent and a practitioner. I am incredibly proud to manage and be part of such a fantastic nursery and team, serving families at the heart of our local community.
Adventures Beyond the Classroom
Bringing Learning to Life with Outdoor Play
At Kids Planet, we believe the great outdoors is one of the best learning environments. Our unique nature-based learning encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and develop essential life skills through hands-on outdoor experiences. Whether it’s discovering wildlife, growing vegetables, or engaging in active play, we provide endless opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive in the natural world.
