About Chester

Children at Kids Planet Chester have four acres of private land at Chester Rugby Club to explore, including a forest area used for our Udeskole-accredited outdoor learning. We welcome babies through to preschoolers, with daily sports coaching and a sensory room adding different ways to learn and have fun.

Our team brings over 50 years of combined experience to your child’s care and learning. Stay-and-play sessions let you spend time with us and see nursery life for yourself. An adventure backpack or a book from our lending library can help you carry on those discoveries together at home. Visitor parking and term-time places are available.

    Jenny Mellors

    Manager

    I have worked at this nursery since 2012 and been the manager since August 2024. I have a level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, a Level 3 award for SEN and a degree in events management.
    I have had the pleasure of watching both my sons grow up here too, alongside my longstanding team of staff.
    I am passionate about the outdoors and believe every child should have the opportunity to spend every day outdoors where possible. I am proud of our amazing garden space and access to the vast grounds around us, including the forest behind the nursery where we are able to incorporate our settings Udeskole nature-based approach.

Our dedicated sensory room offers a peaceful, engaging space where children can explore light, sound, texture, and movement in a safe and supportive environment. Designed to support sensory development and emotional regulation, the room is especially beneficial for children with additional needs. Whether it's enjoying gentle lights, soft textures, or quiet moments, this dedicated space helps little ones grow in confidence, independence, and self-awareness.
